What’s The Difference Between Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and Isolate?
You might have heard of CBD in the past come with the terms “Full Spectrum” and “Broad Spectrum” and maybe even “Isolate” so whats the difference between the three? Full spectrum contains everything you can benefit from the cannabis plant, including small amounts of THC which is what can cause you to feel “different” or “funny” when using cannabis. Most products you’ll see on shelves don’t contain enough for you to feel those effects. Broad spectrum contains mostly everything except THC. Isolate is simply just CBD.
So for broad spectrum, what does “mostly everything” mean? Some of the things the cannabis plant contains are cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. Broad Spectrum Hemp Gummies
First are gummies. There is 50mg per gummy and 30 gummies come in a tub. They are a mixed fruit flavor and do I dare say it? They taste like candy, BUT, only have 3 grams of added sugar. These are a great option if you want something quick and easy to take.
Broad Spectrum Hemp Topical Cream
Next is the topical cream. This is great for pin pointing a specific area.
I went back to CrossFit for the first time in over a month and the next day, well, some muscles in my body wished I didn’t. Stepping out of bed and walking into the kitchen I felt the pressure from the soreness with each step in my hamstrings and quads. I used one pump of the cream per leg, rubbed it in, and hardly any time had passed and that feeling of discomfort was 80% gone so I’m a big believer in the cream.
I don’t see myself using this daily, but definitely going to keep a bottle on hand at the house and probably in my bag when I travel.
Broad Spectrum Hemp Drink
My favorite of the three is the drink mix. There is 75 mg per packet and 30 packets in a bag They also come in a tub, but I prefer the packets as they are great for on the go.
Aside from gummies, the only other option I had seen in the past to be used orally was a tincture which are those glass bottles with a dropper. Those didn’t always taste the best and really just wasn’t fun to use. The flavor of the drink is citrus mint and its the perfect mix of the two.
Directions say to mix it in 4-6oz of water. I’ll do that in room temperature water so it mixes up better, then I add in an ice cube and stir it up some more, then sip on it. You could also just take it as a shot if you’re in a hurry. After drinking it I feel more calm and also more focused. It’s a very soothing feeling.
